Anuvia is now partnering with Black Mountain Home to provide mental health and substance use counseling to children, adolescents, and young adults who are served by Black Mountain Home, as well as adults who are connected with BMH as parents, foster parents, and others. Anuvia will also soon be offering family-strengthening programs to families who are served by BMH.
Black Mountain Home for Children, Youth & Families is a private, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Established in 1904, the home has been located on its current campus in Black Mountain, NC, since 1923. After their homes are deemed unsafe or unhealthy, children are placed in BMH’s care by the court system and Department of Social Services in their home county. BMH serves children from birth through college age and beyond. Many children have been abused, abandoned, or neglected. Some may stay with BMH for only a few weeks, while others may spend a considerable part of their childhood in BMH’s care.
A dedicated, dually licensed counselor from Anuvia serves BMH, working primarily with children, but also with adults who are affiliated with BMH. Anuvia is proud to provide compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health services to these individuals and families and to play a part in their realization of a brighter, healthier future.
