Who is Eligible for ADETS?
All ADETS participants must be referred by a substance abuse assessor. Click here for assessment information. The client must meet all of the following requirements to be eligible for ADETS:
- A showing of no substance abuse handicap from the assessment
- Must be first DWI charge
- A Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of .14 or less on the breathalyzer
- Proof of referral into ADETS from the DWI substance abuse assessor
Out of State referrals requesting ADETS may also be admitted. Such clients must show proof of judgement and an assessment from the referring state in addition to the above requirements.
The DMV must have a certificate of completion from the service provider showing the completed assessment and completion of either a treatment program or ADETS before a driver’s license may be reinstated.
