Anuvia is constantly improving its services for the Hispanic/Latino community, by offering assessments, treatment programs and education specially designed to meet the needs of the Latin American population of Charlotte/Mecklenburg.  The Latino staff is fully bilingual and provides all services in Spanish in an effort to remove the language barrier.

Anuvia Latino Services

Anuvia offer assessments, both DWI and general, as well as education and outpatient treatment.  As part of our education and treatment services, we offer LADETS (Latino  Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic School), STTOP-20 (education program), STTOP-40 (outpatient treatment program) and IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) treatment.

Our staff are Latin American substance abuse professionals who work with the utmost professionalism and passion.  We are dedicated to working with  clients and their families to ensure they receive the most comprehensive services available to the Latino community.   Topics included in our treatment program include but are not limited to:  DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) Law,    Disease Concept, Relapse, HIV/AIDS, Family, Spirituality,  Medical Aspects of Alcohol and other Drugs, Denial, and Domestic Violence.

FAMILY COMPONENT

Family members, as well as other supportive individuals, are invited to participate in our monthly family night.  In these sessions, we provide the family and/or significant others with the tools they need to heal during the process of recovery.  Topics included are:  Disease concept, Enabling, 12-step support, Crisis Management and Communication..

Program Schedule

  • LADETS– offered on Saturday, for 5 weeks, from 8:30am-11:00am.
  • STTOP 20– offered on Saturday, for 8 weeks, from 8:30am-11:00am.
  • STTOP 40– offered on Monday and Wednesday, from 6:00pm-8:30pm for 10 weeks.
  • IOP- offered from 6:00pm to 8:30pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for the first 10 weeks, then from 6:00pm to 8:30pm on Thursday for the last 10 weeks.

Our staff works with other professionals, employers, school personnel, clergy, courts, and law enforcement in offering consultation and direction regarding specific cases.

Clients are expected to attend 12-step meetings as a part of their treatment.  We believe this helps the recovering person build a supportive network during their sobriety.  Anuvia also provides a place for many Charlotte-Mecklenburg 12-step groups in Spanish and English during the week, making them accessible to our clients.

Anuvia counselors are ready to help individuals, families, and employers address substance abuse and   dependency, motivate those affected to seek help, and provide education to all interested parties.
